The Annapurna Base camp trek (ABC) is one of the popular scenics; picturesque, refreshing, adventure-packed and organized walking trails on the hills towards the mighty Annapurna mountain ranges of western Nepal.
Walking in the trails so beautiful in the lap of the Himalayas that the view and satisfaction that you get replenishes your soul every day and washes away the exhaustion, this is the Annapurna Base Camp (ABC) trek. Also popular as the 'Annapurna Sanctuary Trek,' the trail lies mostly in the Annapurna conservation area. The Annapurna Base camp is the starting point for anyone who decides to take on the summit of the mountain and many people get their inspiration here to deal with their problems. The 8091 m high peak is the tenth highest mountain in the world while it's base camp stays at an elevation of 4130 meters. Acclimatization with such altitude is prone to helicopter flights, so people choose to trek to the camp. Another advantage of trekking is that you will have a whole bunch of experiences walking beside the Himalayas.
Your trek starts from the pristine city of Pokhara and more specifically from the gateway at Naya Pul. Rising to the hills and alongside small streams and rivers, you will come nearer to the Shangri-la in the form of the base camp. Passing through the heart of Himalayas you will get to know the Himalayan culture and lifestyle from up close. The view from each of your stop is memorable, and it helps you to understand that extra strength to push forward to the next one. For adventure lovers, you can ask for no more than this as the trek itself is an achievement to be proud of. Best Travel Company
Together with my three friends did Annapurna Base Camp trek this summer and I couldn't have chosen the more perfect one for the arrangement. The company did a brilliant job of managing all the process in the short notice. We know it was a find when the customer care patiently answered all our queries before the booking itself. After tallying the price range in other service providers, we knew we had the best one with Himalayan Pic Du midi. Rajesh (our guide) was amazing, and he gave us the complete list of things we should bring. It absolutely prevented me from over-packing for the trek. The trek itself was flawless and with the cultural tour of the Kathmandu valley acted as the perfect bonus of the trip. I will visit Nepal again, and with more appreciation for the team, it's going to be Himalayan Pic Du Midi once more.
