Langtang, Gosainkunda and Helambu Trek is one of the most taken moderate trekking routes in Nepal combining the scenic mountains, religious shrines, and cultural delights of the central Himalayan region of Nepal. This whole trail is a continuous escapade of adventure and culture right from the start in Kathmandu until the final day. Passing by the hills farmlands, amazing settlements, magical monasteries, and Mani walls every next destination provides you some memorable moments in the trek. The Langtang, Gosainkunda, and Helambu trek is an ideal trek of three amazing destinations in the high hills and mountains of Nepal. The first segment takes you close to the Langtang Lirung (7227 m) and shows you the delights of Tibetan culture and art besides the Kyanjin Gumba (3830m). The trail dips down and ascends with amazing views taking us to our highest point of the trek at the holy Gosainkunda Lake (4360 m). Our descent is a special one with the commencement of the Helambu region from Lauribina La pass (4,610 m). The whole trip from here is a showcasing of Tamang culture, tradition, and lifestyle to its best. As an overall combination, there are only a few treks better than this giving you the cultural and natural best in the world. Day to Day Itinerary
You will meet and introduce to our representative from Himalayan Pic Du Midi today after your arrival in TIA, Kathmandu. He/ She will approach you in the arrival section with a placard with your name. After some formal welcoming, you will head towards your hotel in Thamel, Kathmandu. Freshen up, and after some snacks, we will do a quick orientation session about the Langtang, Gosainkunda, and Helambu trek in our office. Here you will also meet your guide for the journey. After that, you will be transferred back to your hotel. In the evening, you can wander around the sites nearby and peek into the Newari culture. Overnight at a hotel in Kathmandu.
After a quick breakfast, you will head towards a culture-packed tour of the Kathmandu valley. Our first site for today is the Basantapur Durbar square. The palace lies near your hotel and was the royal palace of former Malla kings of the valley. After a brief tour of the palace, head towards the Buddhist shrine of Swyambhunath. This stupa complex provides a great view of Kathmandu valley. Swyambhunath or “The Monkey Temple," because of the abundance of monkeys habituating the hill is one of the oldest temples in Nepal. After that, we will head towards the Hindu shrine of Pashupatinath, and the Tibetan styled Stupa of Boudhanath in quick succession. Return to your hotel and prepare for the trek with the aid of your guide. You can get all the necessary gears and equipment for this trek in Thamel. Rest and prepare to leave Kathmandu early tomorrow. Overnight at a hotel in Kathmandu.
After breakfast, we will take a local bus (optional jeep and car) to Syabru Bensi today. The ride is on a hill highway and the second half of the trek is a bit offroad. You can have an astonishing hill view beside the Trishuli river, and the windy sections make the ride thrilling. After reaching Syabru Bensi, we will head towards the hotel and rest for the day there. Overnight at Syabrubesi.
We will start our trek to Khangjim today after breakfast from Syabrubesi. The trail is mostly through the sub-tropical jungle after crossing the bridge in Syabrubesi. Walking in a smooth and gradual uphill trail, we will stop in a small settlement to have our lunch. We can have great landscape views, and the red rhododendron forest brightens the path. In the latter half, we have a gradual climb to the Khanjim village. After reaching Khangjim, we can rest and view the sunset from your lodge. Overnight at Khanjim.
After our breakfast at Khangjin, we will start our trek of today to the Rimche village. Our trail is through the subtropical forest for most parts, and we will cross small streams and waterfalls every now and then here. We will also get cross some of the previous landslide areas where you have to put your steps with care. You will notice the views opening up in the distance as you get near the village of Rimche. We will drop down for a brief interval and reach the village of in the late afternoon. Overnight at Rimche.
We will start early today and follow the trail leading to Lama hotel. You can try some snacks here, and we will continue walking in the riverside trail surrounded by rhododendron forest. We will walk up the canyon and walk beside it until it opens up, giving us unobstructed views of Langtang Lirung (7227m) in Ghodatabela. From here it is about 45 minutes of an uphill climb before we finally reach the destination village of today as Thyangsyap. Overnight at Thyangsap.
Our trek of today starts with a quick ascent of about 45 minutes to the village of Chamki. We will cross the suspension bridge here and reach the village of Gumba. After a couple of hours of walking from here, we will reach the Langtang village. As one of the most prominent and significant villages of the area, we will have our lunch and head towards Mundu from here. Finally, after a gradual climb and descent, we will reach the valley village of Kyanjin Gompa. We will rest in a teahouse today here. Overnight at Kyanjin Gompa.
We will take an early morning walk to the top of Tserko- Ri at (5033 m) to view the sunrise over Langtang valley. the hike is smooth and you can have a great view of the surrounding landscape throughout the way. However, the best of it is offered to you from the top of Tserko Ri. The prayer flags indicate that you are in an altitude surpassing the 5000 meters mark. From here you will have an unobstructed 360° view of majestic Langtang Lirung (7227 m) alongside the other peaks of the range. The valley below and the surrounding nature is a delightful scenery to dive into during your descent to the village. Overnight at Kyanjin.
We will visit the Kyanjin Gompa early in the morning and head for a short tour of the valley. You can try some of the cheese snacks from the local cheese factory and view the beautiful Langtang Lirung nearer than ever. We can also meet some of the Yala Peak climbers as the trail there starts from Kyanjin Gompa. After some time here, we will start our descend towards Lama hotel from the same route as before. Most of the trail to Lama hotel is downhill, and we will be losing about 1400 meters in altitude reaching there. We will stop for a brief period in some of the settlements in the way and enjoy the marvelous view from these places. After a decent, for about 6 hours we will reach lama hotel. Overnight at Lama Hotel.
Our trail will go down the river bank and climb a little to the village of Thulo Syabru today. Alongside the pine and juniper forests, we will cross multiple landslide/rockslide area and reach the destination village of today. This section of our Langtang, Gosainkunda, and Helambu trek offers us some of the best wildlife encountering opportunities alongside the beautiful mountain flowers. We are likely to see wild boars, monkeys, rare red pandas (nearly extinct) and wondrous species of Himalayan/ migratory birds here. After a fantastic session of walking, we will reach the Tamang village of Thulo Syabru in the late afternoon. Overnight at Thulo Syabru.
After our breakfast, we will take a short tour of the Thulo Syabru village. This village is a marvelous demonstration of saving the Tamang culture and tradition in the Himalayas. After some time here, we will continue our trek to shin gompa today. We will ascending quick passing by the group of chortens at Dursanga and pine and rhododendron forest. The views of Langtang, Ganesh, and many others to the Tibetan side of the trail are just breathtaking from the trail. We will have gradual, and relaxed ascend to the top of the ridge in Phoprang Danda (3190 m). The path gently rises from here till it reaches the flatlands of Shin Gompa. View the beautiful sunset from the gompa and rest for the day. Overnight at Shin Gompa.
Our trek to Gosainkunda from Shin gompa is one of the most demanding trek sections of the Langtang, Gosainkunda, and Helambu trek. We will have a brief tour of Shin Gompa and start our trek to the village of Lauribinayak. From the path to hereabouts, we can view Annapurna, Manaslu, Ganesh, Langtang Lirung and Tibetan mountains and also chances to encounter red pandas and mountain birds. We will have a lunch break at Lauribinayak at 3920 meters. The way from here shifts to alpine region from cold vegetation line and reaches the first of many small lakes in the Gosainkunda region. Among many other small lakes, we can visit Saraswatikunda, Bhairabkunda, and Gosaikunda. Overnight at Gosainkunda.
After exploring the lakes and other places around Gosainkunda, we can spend some time viewing the local pilgrims offering and worshiping the lake. There is a local legend of Lord Shiva created the lake to quench his thirst with Trishul. Gosainkunda is also the root of the Trishuli River and a place gifted with a breathtaking landscape. We will begin our trek to Ghopte from the Lauribina La pass (4610m). After the pass, we will have a steep descent to Phedi, followed by a gradual one to Ghopte. The region of Helambu starts from the Pass, and there are some fantastic villages and destinations we will visit before returning to Kathmandu. Overnight at Gopte.
After breakfast, we will walk today from Gopte to Kutumsang. We can have a taste of the village lifestyle and cuisine in these areas. We will descend from a hill, and we have a relaxed walk ahead in a well-paved path to Kutumsang. From the trail can also have a great landscape view of great extent and explore the terraced farmland region here. We can spend our time visiting the Tamang settlements in the trail. After having a great mountain view from the Stupa near Kutumsang village, we will walk to the Kutumsang village. Overnight at Kutumsang.
Chisapani is one of the most popular and sought-after short trek/hike destinations near Kathmandu valley. We will pass through many small and big settlements and stop in these places to experience true trekking experience in hills regions of Nepal. In the late afternoon, we will reach the Chisapani village in the end section of the Helambu region. The village of Chisapani gives us a great view of the landscape and subtropical vegetation and wildlife. Overnight at a lodge in Chisapani.
We will start our day with a beautiful sunrise view from a natural viewpoint in Chisapani. After having our breakfast in Chisapani, we will start our final section of the trek to Sundarijal. We will drive back to Kathmandu from Sundarijal and rest for the day there. Overnight at a hotel in Kathmandu.
After your breakfast today, we will drive to the city of Bhaktapur. Bhaktapur is only about 45 minutes’ drive from your hotel. The first site of today will be the Historical Bhaktapur Durbar (palace) square. The Palace was the ruling palace of Malla Kings before Kathmandu city. The golden gate temple, Palace of Fifty-five windows, and the Nyatapola temple square are some of the major attractions in and around the Palace. You can visit the painting schools here, view the Thangkas, and artforms around this fantastic city. You can taste the local Newari cuisine and the famous king curd (Juju Dhau) in Bhaktapur. Return to your hotel and stroll around Thamel in your evening today. Overnight at Kathmandu.
Your last day in Nepal will be full of joy and happiness as you look back to the achievements of your Langtang, Gosainkunda, and Helambu trek in Nepal. We will have a parting breakfast with our crew and staffs, suggestions, feedbacks, and experience collection. In some of your spare time seek for some organic goods and products that you can take back home. We will transfer you to the Tribhuwan International Airport (TIA) a couple of hours before your flight. We will follow up with your suggestions and push forward for even better services in the coming days.

- Your big Luggage should be 12 kg each without your Carry bag (small bag). You have to carry 4/5 kg with a small bag during you walking on the Trekking. Your small bag should be over 30 to 40L.
- You have to bring personal medicine box for the mountain. You have to good physical condition is necessary to travel in Nepal. It is recommended to go to doctor for a checkup before coming to Nepal.
