Different kind of equipment is required for different forms of trekking programs in Nepal. Here, we give you a list of basic equipment that is suggested for you to take in your trekking program in the Himalayas.

Clothing

  • Warm Jacket -Down jacket is recommended
  • Jacket- waterproof and windproof
  • Synthetic Fleece (long sleeved and better if windproof)
  • Hat, Gloves, and scarf
  • Thermal underwear
  • Hiking trousers (comfortable and loose-fitting recommended)
  • 2 or more pairs of wool-blend socks
  • Pair of running or linear socks
  • Comfortable and proper hiking boots
  • 2 or more comfortable t-shirts
  • Extra pair of flip-flops 

Additional clothing: for higher altitude

  • Warm jacket (extra)
  • Warm winter trousers
  • An extra layer of windproof clothing (reducing chill factor)

  • Sleeping Bag with travel silk liner
